Hi! I’m Merrie Dail.
Merrie Dail is a writer, poet, and creative spirit. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, she is often described as a polymath, with a career that spans diverse fields, shaped by the critical thinking skills she honed as a design student. Her professional journey has been as varied as her passions, from sustaining aerospace engineering design with the Department of Defense to small business owner. Outside of her career, Merrie has embraced an unconventional lifestyle—helping her husband build an all-metal sport plane, tending a beehive at a nearby historic farm, and nurturing her winter greenhouse to coax the next pineapple. You will also find her reading, writing, and taking photographs, periodically retreating to a tenth-century perched village in southern France. She lives along the Chesapeake Bay, in Maryland, surrounded by nature.
Merrie’s poetry and photographs can be found at LifeAsAPoem.com, and on Instagram at @labelleruche.
